Family and friends I’ve come to the end of the road. But don’t worry although I have left your presence, I will never leave your hearts. I had a great journey. Towards the end, it became a little rough, but know that I’m no longer tired or in pain. I can move a little faster now up here with my Lord.
My life here on earth began on March 11, 1955 created by my Heavenly Father through Charles Hill and Enid Hinds. I was blessed from the beginning.
As you know I had a good life growing up in the Bronx with my six brothers and five sisters. We didn’t have much, but we were loved. Momma made sure we attended church services and knew right from wrong.
I enjoyed my education in New York City Public Schools and learned enough to graduate from Bronx Community College. I had an outstanding career at the New York City Parks and Recreation Department. My 31 years of service at the Parks Department allowed many life time friendships to blossom. I will miss you all dearly.
My children Tanya, Arkim and Ashley you will forever be in my heart. I will continue to look out for you as well as my grandchildren Lance and Theodore. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (Philippians 4:6, NLT)
Can’t forget my remaining siblings, Cynthia, Rosetta, and Valerie we had some good times and a lot of laughs. We cruised the world and took a lot of vacations together. We were truly blessed and have a bond death cannot break! Although life ain’t always been easy, we always had each other. I was truly blessed to be a part of a large loving family.
My brother’s-in-law, Joseph and Micheal, you fit right into the family. I will miss you all as well. As for my nieces, nephews and a host of other friends and relatives (too many of you to name one by one) I was happy to have you all in my life.
Although I am gone I will forever be by your side. Lynn trust and believe, I’ll be right next to you at the tables giving you luck, not that you need it.
Don’t cry for me, for my life was good and I’m safe in my Father’s arms. Love Brenda
