Gilbert Raymond Latchman Jr. was the loving son of the l ate Gilbert Raymond Latchman Sr. and Inez Marie Latchman. He was born on May 5, 1965 and departed his earthly life on April 24, 2023.
Gilbert was born and raised in Spanish Harlem in Jefferson Housing. He received his education in the New York City Public School system at JHS 117 and Benjamin Franklin High School. After graduating high school, he received a degree from Apex Motor School.
His love for animals led him to work at the ASCPA while also working at a Security Guard Agency as a Supervisor traveling to various locations.
Gilbert was loved by many because he was a big brother within the Jefferson Housing community. He loved music and many can remember him walking around with his big radio (beat box) wearing the Kango hat on the side in his head.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Inez Latchman; sister, Wanda Latchman-Meyers (Lee); and brothers, Tyrone and Raymond Latchman (Juwanda).
Gilbert leaves to cherish his memory brothers, Phillip and Barry (Laruah); sisters, Mrs. Lillian Goldson, Betty Latchman, Zoila Brown, Sandra Mascal and Sarita Latchman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
