Henry “Terry” Williams was born on December 20, 1953 to Virginia and Mingo Williams Sr. at Flowers Hospital in Manhattan, NY. As a youth,Terry worked at Lee’s Family Luncheonette while attending Park West High School in Manhattan.
Later in life, Terry went on to work for the Salvation Army and the MTA. Terry nished his career working on Beaver street as a state maintenance worker until he retired in 2015. During his long
career, Terry was fortunate to meet and maintain great friendships with amazing coworkers.
In addition to his formal career, If you knew Terry, you knew he loved being a “cab driver.” In fact, that was one of the many hats he wore. He loved to help others and would get up to drive anyone, anywhere in an instant. Terry also loved playing the lottery and did not miss a beat when it came down to it.
Terry Williams is survived by his children: Tamiko, Terry “Day-Day”, April, and Shaqueen. His stepchildren: Bryan, Raynard, Dysell, and Javeiya. His grandkids: Jarrell, Uniece, Ali’yanah,
Dyasia, and Kasine. His life partner Shelly His nieces and nephews: Ti’anna Lee, Azzura’e, Melvin, Kasseem, Taylor, Dorian, Royal,Mercy, Bryan. His two sisters Barbara and Ada. His brother-
in-law Derrick. His longtime companion Angela. His best friend Clayton Lowrie.. As well as a host of family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Johnetta “Netta” Swans; son, Kasseen;
nephew, Mingo; brothers, Mingo and Cookie(Leslie) and sister, Eartha Lee.
