Robert Wayne Stanley affectionately known as Bobby, was born Sunday, April 22, 1956, in Harlem Hospital. He was born to Doris and Leroy Stanley. He had one brother Michael J. Stanley. After moving from Harlem to the Bronx, he joined the army. He traveled to many places, throughout his tour, such as Germany, Korea, and Japan, while experiencing different cultures. After serving in the Army and being Honorably Discharged he returned to New York City.
He was a hard-working man with many skills and worked hard to support his family. He was a cook at the World Trade Center and a cab driver amongst various other skills. Bobby was married twice and had eight children He loved his kids more than anything, and they gave him the strength to continue pushing forward. Bobby loved music and loved to sing. Some would say his voice was smooth. He also loved to dance and talk. He was a strong individual, battling through multiple terminally ill diseases toward the end of his life.
On Sunday, November 19, 2023, GOD called him home after 67 years 6 months, and 28 days. He passed away peacefully in his home in Brooklyn, New York. He will be forever missed, cherished, and loved.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Takenya, Robert Jr, Niya, Michael, Joseph, David, Noah, and Kimberly; along with a host of grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.
