Robert Joseph Thompson, Jr.

Robert J. Thompson, Jr. was born on October 30, 1946 in Bronx, New York to Robert Sr. and Edith Thompson. He was the oldest of seven children; William, Ronald, Linda, Gary, Christine and Cynthia.

Linda, Gary, William and his son Navon preceded him in death. Robert had two children from his first marriage to Lauren Lawrence, and from that union Octavia and Navon were born. Eventually, he remarried to Ernestine Burgess and they produced one son, Tyron Burgess, Sr. Octavia gave Robert three grandchildren, Tyler, Samyu and Brandon.

He was what you would call hard headed in life and did things his way. Robert valued family and enjoyed life to the fullest. The family will miss him and all his humor.

Robert is survived by his wife, Ernestine Burgess; daughter, Octavia; son, Tyron Burgess, Sr.; mother, Edith Thompson; grandchildren, Tyler, Samyu, Brandon, Scottlyn and Tyron, Jr.; two sisters, Christine and Cynthia; one brother, Ronald; one goddaughter, Jasmin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and saying goodbye to a multitude of friends.
