On Tuesday, January 14, 2025 Ms. Rosa Mae Dennis entered into eternal rest at the Plaza Rehab and Nursing Center, in the Bronx, New York.
She was the oldest of six children to the late Reverend Dublin, Jr. and Rosa Stine Wallace Dennis. She was born on September 10, 1941 in Carendon, South Carolina. Rosa began to serve God at an early age and became a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Rembert, South Carolina. She graduated from Ebenezer High in Dalzell, South Carolina then relocated to New York City. She then joined Williams C.M.E Church and moved on to join the Bright Temple A.M.E. Church in the Bronx, New York. Rosa served on the Usher Board and was a committee member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 812 in the Bronx. She also worked as a Domestic Worker.
She was preceded to the grave by her parents, Reverend Dublin, Jr. and Rosa Dennis.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Glover Lee Dennis Bronx, NY; three sisters, Helena Dennis Canty New York, NY, and Elizabeth Dennis (Roosvelt) Spann Orange, NJ and Earnestine Dennis Hill Bronx, NY; two brothers, Dublin Dennis, III Rembert, SC, Lea (France) Dennis, Rembert, SC, and Michael J. Dennis Maryland; sister-in-law Calpurnia Dennis Rembert, SC; one aunt and two uncles along with a host of nieces, grand-nieces, nephews, grandnephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
