Sharon had an excellent relationship with God and could often be found reading scriptures and taking her grandchildren to church. She loved spending quality time with her granddaughters making sure they were always good and loved talking for hours with her sons cracking jokes, laughing, and going to the movies. With Jazz, they often spent mother-and-daughter time shopping and eating out. She cherished the relationships she had with her family and friends.
Sharon attended Catholic Schools in New York and later worked as a Home Care Attendant and Recreational Worker. She loved to eat Chinese food and peach cobbler. When she went out of her home she was a show stopper. Heads turned from every corner because she loved to dress.
Sharon is preceded in death by her mother Jocelyn Koonce-Brown; father Gerald Brown and her brother Jamel Brown.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter, Jassmin Dunton; sons, Justin and Jayron Dunton; bonus dad, Willie Brown; granddaughters, Chaleni and Jalon Dunton; nephews, Rahmere Brown, Jaquan Wethington, Gerald and Khalid Jr. Dunton; nieces, Nacirra Brown, Fantasia Dunton, Shaquesha Smalls, Alexis O’Kane, Shadesha Smalls, and Chynia Dunton; aunt, Denise Carr; uncles, Arthur and Sylvester Carr; her best friend Alida Johnson; along with a host of other family members and friends.
