Shawn was born on November 18, 1966 in New York City to the parents of Valeda Conover Eaddy and Harold Smith. She attended St. Lukes Catholic School in Harlem, New York and graduated from Jane Adams High School in the Bronx.
She loved spending time with family and was very family oriented. Shawn was highly into fashion and beauty. She was a classy dresser with looks to match and was a very outgoing person. When she was hanging out with family and friends she would be listening to music, playing cards, and singing Karaoke. She loved to laugh and look at comedies and was an avid old school music lover.
She departed this earth on April 25th, 2021. She is predeceased by her brother, Jimmi Conover; grandparents, Asalee Butler, Warnell Smith and Harvey Smith.
Shawn leaves to mourn, her son, Jimi Smith; husband, Michael Day; mother, Valeda Conover Eaddy; father, Harold Smith; sister, Jonay Eaddy; brother, Adont’e Smith; two uncles; childhood friends, Kimberly Halliday, Marilyn Malloy and the Malloy family; Albert Broadus; Irene Bell, Gregory Bell and Crystal Bell along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends too many to name.
